Booking the circle means booking all four weeks
The Saltwater Circle runs over four consecutive Friday mornings. When you book, you are booking a place in that circle — not four separate sessions you can pick between.
This is deliberate. The group is capped at twelve, and what happens in week four is only possible because of what was built in weeks one to three. Your place is held for you for all four weeks, and the boards, wetsuits and qualified instructors are booked and paid for on your behalf whether or not you attend.
When you book you will be asked to confirm that you are committing to all four dates.
Changing your mind before the circle starts
Cancel on or before 2 October 2026 and you receive a full refund, including your deposit. No reason needed, no questions asked. Email betteryewfoundation@gmail.com and I’ll process it back to the card you paid with.
After 2 October your place is confirmed and I can no longer offer a refund for a change of mind. By that point I have committed your place with the surf school and turned other women away.
If you can no longer come after 2 October
You may transfer your place to another woman at no cost. Tell me her name and email before the first session and I’ll take care of the rest.
If you miss a session
There is no refund or part-refund for a session you don’t attend. Your place, equipment and instructor are reserved and paid for either way.
You won’t be left behind. I’ll tell you what you missed, and you’re welcomed straight back the following week.
If something serious happens
If you are injured, become unwell, or face a genuine emergency that stops you continuing, please talk to me. Depending on when it happens and how much of the circle is left, I will usually offer you a place in the next circle at no extra cost. This is something I offer case by case, not an automatic entitlement — but I would much rather find a way through than have you out of pocket and unwell.
If a session can’t run as planned
Whether it is safe to surf is decided by Manly Surf School, who provide the instructors and equipment. If conditions are unsafe, the session still runs: an extended session on the sand, followed by either a swim or a coastal walk.
If I have to cancel a session outright, I will either reschedule it or refund you a fair proportion of what you paid. You will not be left with nothing for a session I could not deliver.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are always entitled to the consumer guarantees. Among other things, these mean the circle must be delivered with due care and skill, and must be reasonably fit for the purpose described on this website.
If something goes seriously wrong with the service, you may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund of the amount that reflects what was not delivered, or to keep your place and pay less. If something goes minorly wrong, I’ll put it right.
These rights apply regardless of anything written above, and regardless of the box you tick at checkout.
